FORT BENNING, Ga. (July 13, 2018) – Spc. John Strezo from Burlington, Massachusetts, holds his duffel above his head. Initial entry trainees arrive at Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment, on Fort Benning, Georgia, July 13, 2018, for the first day of the 22-week pilot program for One Station Unit Training for Infantry Soldiers. The new OSUT program included expanded weapons training, increased vehicle-platform familiarization, extensive combatives training, a 40-hour combat-lifesaver certification course, increased time in the field during both day and night operations and increased emphasis on drill and ceremony maneuvers.
