KINGS BAY, Georgia (Dec. 7, 2018) (From left) CMDCM Alan Propes, command master chief of Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay; Chief Fire Controlman (retired) Dick Henry, Pearl Harbor survivor; and Capt. Chester Parks, commanding officer of Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay cut a ceremonial cake during a Pearl Harbor Day special meal at the base galley. Henry, who was on board USS Helena (CL-50), a light cruiser, when Pearl Harbor was attacked. Helena was hit by a Japanese torpedo bomber, which killed 34 Sailors and injured 69 others.
