Chief Master Sgt. Carlos Rosa, 647th Air Base Group superintendent, and Col. Halsey Burks, 15th Wing commander, lay a wreath on behalf of the men and women of Pacific Air Forces at the flag pole during the Hickam Field Dec. 7th Remembrance Ceremony at Atterbury Circle, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Dec. 7, 2018. The flag pole was bombed three times and strafed during the Dec. 7th attack, but never fell. Today, the flag pole stands as a tribute to those men who manned a .50-caliber water-cooled machine gun at the base. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Heather Redman)
