Corporal Thomas J. Endres, the night-shift sergeant of the guard for Headquarters Battery, 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, never quite saw eye-to-eye with his father growing up and used tough love as a motivator to earn the title Marine. As a Marine, the Paul, Idaho, native has gained the confidence of the Marines he works with and made his father, a former Marine and Endres’ biggest critic, proud of his accomplishments.
