David Boyett, K-9 explosives detection dog handler, 947th Detachment, 289th Military Police Company, 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), shows Rico, an eight-year-old Belgian shepherd, where to search for explosives during a training exercise, Dec. 7, at the Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Va., commissary. Through the training, Rico will learn how to provide immediate and specialized response to bomb threats that may present a hazard to federal facilities.
