The Hampton Roads Naval Museum hosted a promotion ceremony today aboard the USS Wisconsin (BB 64). Sgt. Bechtold, assigned to Marine Air Control Squadron Twenty Four was promoted to Staff Sergeant in front of members of his command and family. The Wisconsin is one of four Iowa-Class Battleships, and is moored adjacent to the museum as a museum ship. It is a popular venue for military ceremonies, and is available to area commands without cost for this purpose.
