The U.S. Ambassador to Japan, Ambassador William Hagerty, presents a coin of recognition to Capt. Andrew Keopraseuth, America’s First Corps, during Yama Sakura 75 at Camp Higashi-Chitose, Hokkaido, Japan, Dec 12 2018. Hagerty toured the camp and addressed the significance of the alliance between America and Japan. Yama Sakura is a bilateral training exercise that strengthens the relationship between the U.S. Army and the Japan Ground Self Defense Force through the exchange of ideas, tactics and techniques.
