Lt. Gen. L. Scott Rice, Director of the Air National Guard, prepares to present Tech Sgt. Jennifer Gammon of the 265th Combat Communications Squadron (CBCS) of the Maine Air National Guard at the South Portland Air National Guard Station in South Portland, Maine, December 12, 2018. The coin was presented at the request of Maj. Brenden Westin, 265th CBCS Detachment Commander. In 2018, Gammon coordinated the deployment of 35 squadron personnel to 4 different countries in support of Operation Freedom Sentinel, Operation Inherent Resolve, and to Africa to support the largest Airmen led troop-labor project in the history of the United States. During this same time, Gammon also coordinated the deployment of 8 additional personnel and 1 equipment UTC in support of Hurricane Maria relief efforts in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
