    I Corps

    Col Robert Forsten, D.O., America’s First Corps surgeon (right) signs a medical support agreement with Col. Mikio Takeshima, M.D., Northern Army Headquarters surgeon, Japan Ground Self Defense Force during Yama Sakura 75 at Camp Higashi-Chitose, Hokkaido, Japan, Dec. 10, 2018. This agreement allows mutual medical support between the forces as needed, including patient evacuation, casualty treatment and patient logistics, during the course of the exercise. Yama Sakura is a bilateral exercise that combines the capabilities of the U.S. Army and the JGSDF and solidifies the working relationship between the forces.
