NORFOLK, Va. (Dec. 14, 2018) Lt. Paul Masteller, assigned to Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VRC) 40, greets his wife and son during the squadron’s homecoming from a regularly scheduled deployment with the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group (HSTCSG). VRC-40 departed with HSTCSG Apr. 11, 2018 as part of the ongoing rotation of forward deployed forces supporting maritime security operations in international waters across the globe. HSTCSG was the first to participate in Dynamic Fleet Employment (DFE), an initiative allows the Navy to be both strategically predictable to our allies, while remaining operationally unpredictable to our adversaries.
