Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations, Energy and Environment, Jordan Gillis, meets with Fairbanks civic leaders at the 5th annual Operation Standing Together Nov. 7, 2018. The annual event, which brings military leadership from Fort Wainwright and Eielson Air Force Base together with business leaders and local elected officials, is hosted by the Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce.
The event concluded Gillis’ visit to Fort Wainwright where he received updates on key infrastructure and environmental initiatives and met with spouses who addressed housing concerns in an August round table event with Leah Esper, wife of Secretary of the Army Dr. Mark Esper, during her visit to Fort Wainwright.
