Cmdr. Tyler Scharar, executive officer of NMCB-3, during a concrete pour for a project to build a k-span structure that will house civil engineering support equipment onboard Camp Shields in Okinawa, Japan. NMCB-3 is forward deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region and United States ready to support major combat operations, theater security, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.
