Major Scott Pile participate in a wreath laying ceremony aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Dec. 7, 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Makin Island, the Navy's newest amphibious assault ship and the only U.S. Navy ship with a hybrid electric propulsion system, is on its first operational deployment.
