A group of Soldiers take break on their planned work rest cycle to prepare themselves for the coming training events in Caribbean Thunder, a joint readiness exercise between the Michigan, Virgin Islands, and Mississippi National Guard. The Michigan National Guard is conducting an Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise to validate their ability to alert, marshal, and deploy a ready force to support the Virgin Islands in the face of the next hurricane.
