Soldiers from 3rd Battalion, 16th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, board a C-17 to begin their journey back home to Fort Carson, Colo., Dec. 12. These soldiers deployed to Afghanistan in May and are returning mid tour due to President Obama’s plan to remove 10,000 troops from Afghanistan by the end of the year.
