    Marines with the Maritime Raid Force (MRF), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (11th MEU) board a CH-53E Super Stallion with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 163 (Reinforced), 11th MEU, for free-fall jumps at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Dec. 18, 2018. The MRF's role in a MEU is to carry out raids against maritime objectives such as oil and gas platforms, ships and targets ashore.
