Counter-Terrorism Service’s second school students prepare to fire an M249 machine gun during the final exercise of integration phase at a range complex in Besmaya, Iraq, Dec. 18, 2018. This exercise was the last assessment needed for students to graduate the CTS Academia as operators. The Iraqi CTS Academia course consists of three schools: Initial Entry Training, Special Operations Qualification, and Special Operations Advanced Training. Continued assistance to partner forces is essential to setting conditions for regional stability. The Coalition and its partners remain united and resolved to prevent the resurgence of ISIS and its violent extremist ideology. (U.S. Army photo by Spc. Sarah K. Anwar)
