Students from Saint Joseph’s College for Women approach the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23) for a ship tour in Visakhapatnam, India, Dec. 23, 2018. As part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), the USS Anchorage and 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) are conducting a partnership strengthening visit to Visakhapatnam, India. The Essex ARG and 13th MEU are a capable and lethal Navy-Marine Corps team deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to support regional stability, reassure partners and allies and maintain a presence postured to respond to any crisis ranging from humanitarian assistance to contingency operations.
