Maj. Gen. Thomas D. Weidley receives a coin from Lt. Col. Prescott Wilson before a ceremony on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 21, 2018. The ceremony was held to recognize Marines from Marine Wing Support Squadron 172 for demonstrating excellent performance during the Field Supply and Maintenance Analysis Office-Western Pacific (FSMAO-WP) inspection. A FSMAO is a comprehensive analysis of the logistical functions of a unit with the intent of improving overall Marine Corps equipment accountability and readiness. MWSS-172's performance demonstrates a well-integrated unit and their ability to fight tonight. Weidley, a Lima, Pennsylvania native, is the commanding general of 1st Marine Aircraft Wing.
