El Paso County, 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson leadership break ground, Dec. 15, to start construction for the Cheyenne Mountain Shooting Complex. The shooting complex will be located on Fort Carson, adjacent to gate 20, near the intersection of Interstate 25 and Mesa Ridge Parkway. The facility will be open to soldiers and their Families, as well as the off-post community and government agencies, such as the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, National Forest Service, Division of Wildlife. The first phase is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2012.
