The 55th Wing "Warhawk" logo was created as the wing's nickname and mascot and has been used to rebrand the wing's mission appearing on slides, weekly digital publications, coins, letterhead, nose art and is the official name and logo for the community center. The Warhawk name was taken after an adversary, in the Pacific Theatre, referred to one of the wing's RC-135S Cobra Ball airframes and the wing's overall flying mission as “imperialist war hawks running amok." The name was adopted as the wing's new nickname. (U.S. Air Force graphic by Josh Plueger)
