The spillway at Foster Joseph Sayers Dam remains dry after rainfall from Tropical Depression Gordon inundated Foster Joseph Sayers Lake in September 2018. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' dams and lakes are designed to prevent major flooding that could cause loss of life and massive property damage.
