180123-N-PJ969-0738 Coronado, Calif., (Jan. 23, 2018) There are nine active duty SEAL Teams - four on both the East and West Coast and one SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team. There are also two Reserve SEAL Teams made up of SEALs who have served on active duty and want to continue their service in the teams after they leave active duty. U.S. Navy SEAL candidates participate in Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training.
