The Khabari Crossing gate is officially closed as service members have departed Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn Dec. 18. Soldiers from the 1st Theater Sustainment Command and Third Army provided logistical support to meet President Barack Obama’s deadline to have service members out of Iraq by Dec. 31. The 3-1 was the final soldiers to depart Iraq.
