The Eastern Army National Guard Aviation Training Site (EAATS) here recently hosted Cadet Aya Al-Sourany of the Royal Jordanian Air Force, Jordan's first female helicopter pilot. EAATS has a long history of training pilots form Jordan, and from many nations, evidenced by a sweet gum tree planted by King Abdullah II of Jordan in 1999 on EAATS grounds.
