Recruits with Charlie Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, curl a log during a log drill exercise at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Jan. 7. Recruits had to work together and use their strength to lift up the log without dropping it. Annually, More than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Charlie Company is scheduled to graduate March 1.
