Lt. Gen. Richard Tryon, left, deputy commandant of Marine Corps Plans, Policies and Operations, awards the Meritorious Service Medal to Sgt. Maj. Ramon Nash, former Headquarters and Service Company first sergeant, during a promotion ceremony at Marine Barracks Washington Dec. 19. Nash was promoted to his current rank after serving as first sergeant for Company A and H&S Company during his three-year tour at the Barracks. Nash is slated to leave the Barracks to report to Houston to assist the Corps' recruiting efforts in the Lone Star state.
