NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Jan. 17, 2018) Secretary of the Navy Richard V. Spencer is briefed by USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) Commanding Officer Capt. John J. Cummings on the differences between the Ford and Nimitz-class carriers and the increased warfighting capabilities that Ford brings to the fleet during a tour of the Navy’s newest aircraft carrier.
