Marines and sailors embrace their families and loved ones during a homecoming event at Camp Pendleton. Nearly 40 service members from different elements from Regimental Combat Team 5 returned home from their deployment to Afghanistan just in time to spend Christmas morning at home with their families. The Family Readiness Program, including volunteers from Operation Help a Hero and the Dana Point Support Group, prepared for the returning troops, collecting food, drinks and gifts for the event. Organizers also had a raffle for Marines not going directly home with their families, giving away a variety of prizes including a new video game system.
