Task Force Cavalier Patch Ceremony_January 11, 2019- In multiple ceremonies conducted in front of the 529th Battalion Headquarters and remote outlying locations throughout the Area of Responsibility, members of the 529th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion (CSSB) were awarded the Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. For the rest of their careers, the patch will display their unit of War Time Service. The Adjutant published the following order while the unit members were each individually "patched" by unit leadership on their right shoulder: The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia-Former Wartime Service is awarded to the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 529th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion for service in Iraq, Syria, and Jordan, in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Under this authority, the 329th Regional Support Group Shoulder Sleeve Insignia is awarded to the unit as the official Shoulder Sleeve Insignia-Former Wartime Service patch for their service in the CENTCOM AOR from December 28, 2018 to a date to be determined.
