John Richardson meets with ship and installation leadership while visiting the Arleigh-Burke class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) forward deployed to Naval Station Rota, Spain. Before visitng Ross, Richardson met with the base’s Spanish leadership to discuss U.S. and Spanish defesne cooperation aboard the installation. Naval Station Rota, is an operational ashore base that enables U.S., allied, and partner nation forces to be where they are needed and when they are needed to ensure security and stability in Europe, Africa, and Southwest Asia.
