Sgt. 1st Class Willard Means, Headquarters Troop, 1st Squadron, 180th Cavalry, Oklahoma Army National Guard, gives directions to soldiers during the unit's M4 qualification range in preparation for the upcoming "Spur Ride," a collection of tasks and tested events for which Cavalry troopers will earn their "spurs." The soldiers are stationed at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, where they have been conducting missions into Iraq in the closing days of Operation New Dawn.
