An MV-22B Osprey flies over water during Rescue Hoist Training, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Jan. 23, 2018. The purpose of this training is to enhance evacuation capabilities of personnel utilizing the MV-22 Osprey in the event of a military or civilian mishap at sea. The ability to hoist stranded individuals from the water, via tiltrotor aircraft, provides another life-saving response option for Hawaii-based Marine’s and III Marine Expeditionary Force.
