Capt. Luis Garces, 458th Airlift Squadron, practices a blood choke on Senior Master Sgt. Rodney Lindsey, 375th Air Evacuation Squadron, during the combative portion of their survival, evasion, resistance, escape training, Dec. 13, at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Aircrew members, and persons who have been deemed at risk of isolation are required to attend refresher SERE training every three years to make sure they are proficient with the techniques and skills that will keep them alive.
