French army artillerymen fire their self-propelled howitzer “Casers” during a fire mission at Fire Base Saham, Jan. 24, 2019. Soldiers from France and the U.S. are deployed in support of Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve, supporting partner forces as they clear the last remaining pockets of ISIS from the Middle Euphrates River Valley and prevent them from fleeing into Iraq.
