190129-N-OX029-2232 PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 29, 2019) - Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) Airman Nathaniel Jarrard, from Savannah, Ga., simulates manning a fire hose in the hangar bay on the amphibious ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) during a damage control training team (DCTT) drill. Wasp, flagship of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
