Four seized bales comprised of 200 pounds of cocaine with estimated wholesale value of $3 million dollars lay aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Margaret Norvell (WPC-1105) Jan. 30, 2019, following the interdiction of a drug smuggling go-fast off the coast of Arecibo, Puerto Rico Jan. 29, 2019. The crew of the Norvell also apprehended four suspected smugglers in this case that resulted from ongoing multi-agency law enforcement efforts in support of Operation Caribbean Guard, the Caribbean Border Interagency Group and the Caribbean Corridor Strike Force. The DEA is leading the investigation into this case.
