A student part of the Pilot Training Next program straps herself into a flight simulator at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, Jan. 23, 2019. This simulator helps the students get their bodies used to the g-force that will occur when actually flying. They will learn to handle it here and identify the early symptoms of blacking out from too much g-force to reduce risk once they finally get into a real plane.
