190204-N-RI884-0073 EAST CHINA SEA (Feb. 4, 2019) – An MV-22 Osprey assigned to the “Flying Tigers” of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262, transports Marines assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), to the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) during flight operations. Wasp, flagship of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st MEU, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
