Lieutenant Gen. Dennis J. Hejlik, commander of Marine Forces Europe, visited Marines from the Black Sea Rotational Force located at Camp Pendleton during their predeployment training, Jan. 9. The Marines will be visiting 19 different countries near the Black Sea, participating in training with the different military forces in those countries. This is the third year the Marine Corps is part of the program designed to build the operational ability of foreign military forces and build relationships among coalition forces. The visit was designed for Lt. Gen. Hejlik to meet the Marines and spend time with the staff members who will deploy for the six-month tour in Europe. He spoke to the reserve Marines and gave them a little better idea of what the mission and the expectations that will be placed on them during the deployment.
