Frank Kendall (center), the (acting) under secretary of defense, Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, is given a tour of the Intermediate Maintenance Activity lot by Maj. Brian J. Spooner, the Maintenance Company commanding officer, 2nd Marine Logistics Group (Forward), aboard Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, Jan. 7. Kendall and other Department of Defense officials visited logistics lots in order to gain information and determine what the troops need in order to retrograde supplies and complete their year-long deployment in an organized, thorough manner.
