190206-N-WI365-1094 PHILIPPINE SEA (Feb. 06, 2019) – Sailors board an MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft, assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262 (Reinforced), on the flight deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) as part of a Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) drill. Ashland, part of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
