Timothy Spreder after announcing Spreder as the next color sergeant of the Marine Corps at Marine Barracks Washington Dec. 6. The 25-year-old native of Florence, Ky., graduated from Simon Kenton High School in 2003 and joined the Marine Corps that summer. Not only does the color sergeant of the Marine Corps bear the nation’s flag, but he is also the senior sergeant in the Corps.
