Lance Cpl. Chengfeng Lin, an engineer equipment electrical systems technician with Combat Logistics Battalion 453, 4th Marine Logistics Group, demonstrates a detailed functionality check of an improvised security system the Reserve Marines created at an innovation cell located within their Home Training Center in San Jose, Calif., Feb. 9, 2019. The Marines created a circuit capable of unlocking and securing a dead bolted door and equipped with a biometric fingerprint scanner that is fully functional and made from materials that were either repurposed or produced by a three dimensional printer.
