Brig. Gen. Tom Miller, Air Combat Command director of Logistics, Engineering, and Force Protection, speaks during a “Daedalian” award ceremony in honor of the 379th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron, Feb. 11, 2019 at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. The Daedalian Maj. Gen. Warren R. Carter Logistics Readiness Award was first presented in 1962 to the base-level unit with the best supply effectiveness record in support of mission aircraft and weapons in the Air Force. 379th ELRS Airmen perform a full range of logistics operations in support of aircraft sortie generation to enhance agile combat support throughout the U.S. Air Forces Central Command area of responsibility.
