A Republic of Korean Marine reconnaissance jump master gives his Marines a pre-jump brief before conducting para-operations while aboard a KC-130 aircraft in Chon Bori, Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 12, 2019. U.S. Marines with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152 and 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion conduct joint air drop and para-operations training with Republic of Korea Marine Reconnaissance and Royal Thai Marine Reconnaissance. Cobra Gold is a Thailand and United States co-sponsored Combined Joint Task Force and joint theatre security operation exercise conducted with up to 29 nations participating annually in the Kingdom of Thailand. This exercise provides the opportunity to strengthen relationships, enhance interoperability and readiness, and reinforce our commitment to a free and safe Indo-Pacific region.
