MANCHESTER, Wash.— Discovery Alternative High School students Travis Avery ready a container of Coho salmon hatchlings for release into Beaver Creek at Naval Base Kitsap–Manchester Feb. 7. The Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center (NAVSUP FLC) Puget Sound Fuel Department hosted local high school students to release 15,000 newly hatched salmon into the waterway running through the facility as part of an ongoing school project to help restore Puget Sound’s salmon population.
