U.S. service members board a U.S. Air Force C-130J Hercules from the 75th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron (75th EAS), in East Africa, Feb. 13, 2019. The 75th EAS supports Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) with medical evacuations, disaster relief, humanitarian and airdrop operations. The CJTF-HOA is a multinational effort to conduct security cooperation, combat violent extremism and enable freedom of movement within East Africa in order to defend U.S. interests and support aligned regional efforts.
