HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Florida (Feb. 16, 2019) – USAID's Steve Olive, Acting Assistant Administrator for Latin America and the Caribbean, and Julie Chung, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, speak to the media prior to the takeoff of three U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster aircraft that are airlifting humanitarian aid to Cúcuta, Colombia. The airlift is part of a Department of State, USAID, and Department of Defense cooperative effort to deliver aid ready for distribution within Venezuela to Cucuta, Colombia.
