Col. Michael J. Trotter, commander of the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, presents Command Sgt. Maj. Willie T. Grandison a token of appreciation from the entire Fort Bliss community following his powerful speech during the annual African-American History observance held at the Fort Bliss Centennial Banquet & Conference Center Feb. 13. Grandison is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, and has spoken at previous observances for Black History month throughout his career.
